抄録: This article presented an outline of a new personality theory Structural Analysis, and the interpretation of projective tests guided by this theory. Structural Analysis postulates two major personality structures, the Facade Self (FS) and the Introspective Self (IS). The theory also posits three psychological modalities, Intellect, Emotion, and Behavior. Both structures, FS and IS, are energized through the modalities of Intellect and Emotion, and IS can lead to Behavior, however it is expressed only through FS. These structures define the personality level: IS occupies a deeper level of personality, whereas FS occupies the outward area. This concept can be used to assign psychological tests to a position, or level along FS to IS continuum. The Hand Test is an instrument to measure the action tendency, therefore it is placed FS, while the Rorschach Technique encompasses a wider range of personality levels than other projective techniques. This paper showed, using a twenty two year old woman with an eating disorder, how these tests integrate within the framework of Structural Analysis. Utilities of this theory were discussed.
